Lar operates a group structure that supports its charitable aims through distinct activities. This ensures that group entities can operate to maximum efficiency, with the different skillsets required to run and develop the charity; carry out development and construction; and to provide property letting, factoring, management and maintenance contained within separate group companies.
Lar Housing Trust is an independent housing charity, helping to transform the lives of many hundreds of people in Scotland by offering high-quality homes in communities at affordable rent levels.
Lar’s developments are at the very heart of these communities, providing people with the opportunity to stay in the place they call home, close to work, with a network of family and friends nearby. Lar works in partnership with house builders, developers and partners in affordable housing provision to create new homes across Scotland.
Lar Projects – Constructs high quality homes for Lar and others which meet our tenants' needs in a highly sustainable and innovative manner.
Lar Operations CIC – Provides factoring, letting, repairs and management and maintenance services for Lar and others trading as Lar Property & Estate Management. We also have meeting spaces available to rent in Fife and East Lothian.
Any profits generated from these subsidiaries are remitted to Lar for the provision of additional affordable housing and community benefits.
