Scotland is facing a housing crisis with many people caught in a trap of not having a realistic chance of accessing social housing, nor being able to afford the rents charged in the private sector.
The LAR Housing Trust was set up in 2015 and has plans to build around 1,000 homes, which will be available at mid-market rent in villages, towns and cities across Scotland. This will allow people to live affordably in their own communities, offering security, stability and a chance to plan for the future.
As a charity, we place great value on the wider benefits which good quality, affordable homes will bring.
LAR is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), registered with the Office of Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) with Scottish Charity number SC044825. LAR's work is overseen by a Board of Trustees led by Chairman Andrew Robertson CBE.
